Yay for Surprises!

On our way home from the beach, we stopped over in Houston to surprise Uncle Darrin! Thanks to Aunt Jamie it was a total surprise!! We enjoying looking at their beautiful neighborhood, went to dinner, swam in their whirlpool tub (okay, maybe two of us did this!), played, and spent the night with them in their beautiful home!!! Ave and Aunt J watching for D out the window!

Thank you, Aunt Jamie and Uncle Darrin for letting us stay with you! Aunt J, thank you for coordinating the surprise!! You were so good!!! :) The next morning, we drove to College Station and visited with Brandon's Mimi (Avaree's great-great Grandmother), and then, thanks to Pops, we were able to surprise Gigi for a late birthday lunch!

Thank you, Perchy (and Ashton), for helping us surprise the Queen of Surprises!!

On our way out of town, we stopped by to say hello to Mema and Paw Paw (and see their new home), but somebody had already passed out in her car seat! I love this picture of B and his Mema though!! :)

Family Night on the Fourth!!

On July 4th, Brandon and I took Avaree to Founder's Plaza to watch the airplanes! Brandon had been working non-stop to prepare for the DC trip (so much more on that later--it was amazing), and we had spent so much time packing, moving, and then unpacking, we just hadn't had much time to just relax and have fun together. So, we picked up cherry sprites for all and headed to the plaza! We stayed for a couple of hours, and it was perfect! Our girl has loved airplanes since before she could walk and talk, but she really, really loves them now! The weather was perfect, and the company couldn't be beat! :) These are just a few of the pictures that I was able to get! :)

[Little] Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

A couple of days after we moved (more on that later), Avaree and I went to Lauren's house for a playdate with a few precious little girls! This was actually Avaree's first play date with more than one other kid, so I wasn't sure what to expect from her, but she did great! She was very sweet, and she LOVED playing with her little friends! Of course, Lala is the perfect hostess, so she makes everything so easy! :) It was so fun to have so many little girls around, and of course I love each of their Mommies! It was also a wonderful distraction after several crazy days of moving and trying to settle in! Enjoy the pictures! So many beautiful, precious faces... :)
