On Avaree's birthday, we had a little impromptu photo shoot outside of our apartment while we were waiting on her supper of choice (pizza) to be delivered! I love her sweet little expressions, and that these pictures show just who she is! :)

This is probably the first time ever (except when Daddy is keeping her) that she hasn't had a bow in her hair, but oh well!!! ;) I'm working on a post on the events of her day as well!!!

Interview with our THREE year-old!!

I'm working on Avaree's birthday post, but I haven't finished it yet, so I thought this would be fun to post on this special day. Today is my girl's birthday. A day that changed my life in the best way possible. This morning, I asked Ave what three year-old's do, and she had two responses. Three year olds eat hummus and put on deodorant! :) She had such a great day today! She LOVED getting to talk to all of her family and lots of friends today! :) 
I got this idea from Pinterest, but I am so excited about it! I asked Ave twenty questions, and I will ask her the same questions each birthday to see how her answers change! :) When I asked her if I could ask her some questions, she said, "oh, sure, sure!" :) 
For every question that I asked, Avaree listened intently, and then made a little sound that told me she was thinking, before quickly giving me sweet, matter-of-fact, honest answers! I did not doctor her responses in any way! I asked her these questions over the last few days, and I have written down her responses to each. You can hear her little animated voice in each of her answers! Enjoy! :)
1. What is your favorite color? Purple
2. What is your favorite toy? Anna (her new baby doll)
3. What is your favorite tv show? Super Why
4. What is your favorite movie? NEMO!
5. What is your favorite outfit? Oh, I love dresses!
6. What is your favorite game? Baseball. Go Josh!
7. What is your favorite creative activity? (I gave her choices here: painting, drawing, or coloring)  I love to paint!
8. What is your favorite animal? Kitty cat!
9. What is your favorite song? "Light, light, Light Up the Sky"  (She even prays for this to come on the radio in the mornings on the way to school!)
10. Who is your best friend? Cohen and Timber
11. What is your favorite thing to do outside? run!
12. What is your favorite drink? Milk
13. What is your favorite holiday? (I listed all of the holidays for her.) Oh, Christmas, I love Christmas!
14. What do you like to take to bed with you at night? All my friends: Aggie, Lilly, Aggie Bear!
15. What do you want to be when you grow up? (without any hesitation whatsoever) A teacher! (I immediately started to cry, and I said, "Like Mommy?" She said, "Oh, you want to be a teacher like Mrs. Nora and Mrs. Maria too. That would be so great Mommy.)
16. What do you love about yourself? (I had to explain this one.) Anna and Dora (I think she was trying to say that she is a good Mommy to her babies!)
17. What do you pray about? I pray for my family.
18. What's your favorite thing to do with Daddy? Play golf! 
19. What is your favorite thing to do with Mommy? Hold you! (love her!)
20. What is your favorite day? My birthday! September 21, 2012. Three!

Happy birthday, beautiful, precious girl. Daddy and I are so blessed to be your parents. We love you higher than the sky, deeper than the ocean, wider than the horizons and back again.

Speedy Trip to CS last weekend!

Last weekend was B.U.S.Y! We got to College Station around midnight on Friday night, and on Saturday we spent the day celebrating Josh and Cianna's wedding day! Saturday morning, Gigi went to the church to coordinate everything for the wedding, the boys went to play golf, and Aunt Jamie, Ave and I enjoyed visiting, shopping, and running a few errands! :) 
Brandon is always so happy when he gets to spend time with his Dad and brother. I don't think these two stopped talking the whole time we were there! :) They were both ushers in the wedding. Don't they look sharp?

 See? Every time I saw them they were talking. :) Of course, the Aggies were about to play their first game as a member of the SEC, so that compelled the need to talk too! :)

Ave sat between Pops and Mema during the wedding. She made it to my lap at the very end, but she did great aside from a couple of little funnies! :)

We enjoyed our quick trip to CS! It was great to catch up with everyone, at least for a little bit! :) Our girl had a blast, and we all slept hard on Saturday night! We even got the special treat of going to breakfast with Uncle D and Aunt Jamie before heading back to the Grapevine to get ready for a banquet at church!
