As summer wanes, our time together begins to dwindle as well.
Sweet, beautiful girl reading away. She just LOVES the Magic Treehouse series! She read 11 of these books in three weeks!
Daddy was at children's camp in early August! He drove home every night though. :)

Avaree got to go to her sweet friend Avery's birthday party at the gymnastics place!

Then, I got to come home and snuggle these two while Daddy went to a meeting! BUSY day!
We also kept another little friend while his mama was at the doctor!
This summer, Avaree took six piano lessons from Mrs. Barbara. This was her last lesson, so the kids and I got to go in for the last ten minutes! She played a duet with Mrs. Barbara for us, and it was wonderful! She played one other song by herself, and then she got to choose another instrument to play for us, and she choose "Twinkle Twinkle" on the guitar!
Mrs. Barbara helped, and we all sang!

Then, Felicity got to help Avaree play the Q chord!
She even asked Brandt to help, too! It was precious.
Avaree learned a lot, and we're thankful that she will be able to continue learning piano in school! She gets to go to piano every other day at school, and both of her content classrooms each have two pianos, so that any time a student finishes early, he/she can plug her headphones in and practice! Amazing!
Brandt still LOVES the shine-a-light book that we got from Mrs. Kelli!
Mrs. Kristen let him borrow this super hero cape that she made for Luke! He loves it!!
We so enjoyed having Kendall and Wesley over the other day! The girls had a big time!

On Saturday, we were finally all reunited again! Daddy had a VERY busy week, and he was only home one night for an hour (that the kids were awake), so we enjoyed a morning of cuddling!!
The babies just kept piling on! Avaree was on the other side of me! :)
That afternoon, we went to a connection group gathering at the Harvey's home, and Brandt would not leave the chickens alone! :)
A year ago, Mrs. Josie found an American Girl "Felicity" doll at a garage sale, and bought it for Felicity! She is a retired doll, so it was unheard of to find one for $10, but Felicity loves her so much!
She has slept with her ever since!
The next morning, I got to be in Kids' Rock with these cutie pies!
Mrs. Angela spoke about the Burmese people that she loves!

We weren't able to take Avaree to Six Flags this summer to use her free ticket that she earned for reading (and she was so gracious in acknowledging that it would be better to use that money of something that we could all five do together), but she was so happy to learn that she was going to be able to go with the Brown family on Sunday afternoon/evening! They have annual passes, so it worked out perfectly! She had the best time EVER!! We are so thankful for sweet friends that we love and trust!
Continuing the fun, Ginger and Timber came over and spent Monday with us!!!!! It is NEVER long enough, but I just love this sweet picture!!!!!!!! Can't believe these girls are in Kinder and 1st grade!

Later that week, we ended our last week of summer with a family trip for snocones and playtime at the park! We got one big snocone and shared!
