May, Part IV: End of School Fun!!!

Daddy and Pastor Eric played in a golf tournament to benefit an orphanage that our church supports in Matamoras! They had a big time! :)

Meanwhile, Avaree started her last week of Kinder!!!! She had the best teacher ever, and they had lots of crazy fun those last few days! :)

So fun!!!

I had one last Kinder lunch with my big girl! 

That afternoon we got to have snocones with our sweet friends!

I was super busy with photography shoots this month, and this one was my favorite. Look at my beautiful friend and her big girl! Gorgeous.

We had a great, long family weekend, and then there was just ONE MORE DAY of school!

Somebody was thrilled on the morning of her LAST day of Kindergarten!!!!! Such a big day!

Avaree and Mrs. Sanchez with all of Avaree's awards (she's even missing one here). She got the writing award, reading award, citizenship award, spanish award, math award, leadership award, Hall of Fame for Enthusiasm Certificate, and Kinder completion certificate! We are SO proud of our girl. We continue to pray that she would use her God-given talents for the Kingdom of God, and that as she continues to grow and learn, that she would always give Him glory. 

There is no lack of admiration for this big sister.

At the end of the little awards ceremony in her classroom, Mrs. Sanchez started speaking to the kids and was trying to tell them how special they were, and she just started bawling, so all the kids immediately just ran up to hug her! It was the sweetest thing ever, and then all the mamas were crying, too! What a gift this precious teacher has been to each of her students, and especially to our family. We have prayed for her, and God answered our prayers!

We celebrated the first day of school at Yo Berry, and we celebrated the last day of school there, too! Avaree was so happy that she got to "treat" all of us! Gigi and G-Pops had sent her a card with some money for an end of school treat!

YAY summer!!! Happy Kinder year is over to our big girl! Thanks for treating us Avaree (and thank you for giving her the money to do so, Gigi and G-Pops!)!!

The next day, we had our friend Reese with us all morning! The kids all loved having her!

The week after school was out for the summer, a few of my sweet high school girls came over to bake cookies with us!!! We had the best time! We had the disney music channel on the Pandora, and my girls were just in awe of them and loved that they knew all the words to the songs! Avaree and Felicity put their princess dresses on and just twirled around the whole time! Brandt was in my arms the whole time, but he had a great time grinning at the girls! ;)

I have missed having teenagers in my house. They were so proud of their thumbprint cookies! 

After the girls left, the babies went down for nap time, and then we had cuddle time in Mama's bed!!!

Look out summer, here come the Barton babies! :)

May Fun, Part III: Fun with Friends

I thought April was crazy, but May has been W-I-L-D! There have been several school events, church events, family events, and I started and ended a very time consuming contract job for three weeks, and I had 12 photo shoots in the span of those same three weeks. We were also on Whole 30, which means more cooking than usual, and I am on the tail end of a UC flare, so life has been super crazy lately! Regardless, I do some pictures to remember the craziness by! :)

Avaree's precious Kinder teacher (the one that teaches Language Arts, Reading, and Social Studies) had to go on bed rest two and a half weeks before school ended, and our girl was SO sad! Mrs. Anthony has been so so precious, and she has been such a resource to us and an advocate for our girl. So, one night at 10:30 pm, I ran to Target to get this sweet book that Mrs. Anthony had been reading to  her class. (Avaree came home one day telling me that she would "be moving mountains one day." I wrote a little note to Mrs. Anthony's baby girl, and then all the kids signed the book for her the next day! Mrs. Anthony loved it! 

What a gift that this sweet teacher has given to our girl and her friends! Oh, the places SHE will go! :)

In mid-May, my friend Kelli, her hubby, and their two girls came to visit! We had lots of fun catching up! The first day that they were here, we went to the museum, and then we had dinner together. 

The next day, they came over, and we spent the morning playing outside in the sprinklers. :) We loved catching up with our friends!!!

Later that afternoon, after our friends left, Daddy took his girls to the Rangers' game! This was Felicity's first game! Avaree and B have been for the last two years, so Felicity was SO excited to go with them! :)

The next day, we had Avaree's field day at school! It had been raining SO much, so they moved field day into the gym, and this girl was SO happy to be with her Mommy and her Daddy!

Then, out of nowhere, our big girl told Daddy that her tooth was really loose, so Daddy just pulled it out! Sweet Chloe could not believe it!

It was the highlight of the whole cafeteria!

Meanwhile, this was my lunch when we got home. Sugar free bacon, eggs, a little avocado and strawberries. Whole 30 was a wonderful experience for us--at least until it was over, and I got super sick!

Daddy surprised the girls and I with flowers one evening! We were so surprised and happy!

In the middle of a crazy busy few weeks, I got to sneak away from 6 pm on Friday to 10 am on Saturday to spend the night in Fort Worth with my sweet college friends! We graduated from college 10 years ago in May, and this was so fun! We talked the ENTIRE time, and I think we finally went to sleep around 2 am! :) I loved face timing with my girlies before they went to bed though!

I got back at 10 am just in time to take the kiddos to a friend's birthday party, and then that night we had a church date night! So, Daddy and I went to Sam's and bought our groceries all by ourselves before getting our littles by 7 pm! It was great to shop alone and talk without answering any questions or settling any fights for our backseat bunch! ;)
