For Avaree's 5th birthday, we had a small little tea party for her at church! She invited twelve little friends, and we called it a "Character Tea Party!" :)
She, of course, wanted to dress up like Belle!
I tried to decorate the craft room as cheaply as possible while still making it look special for her! I used several things that I already had, and I bought a few things at Hobby Lobby/Walmart that I can hopefully use again!
Brandon thought it was hilarious that I used my fake flowers from home in the decorations! I even added a few pink ones from Avaree's room! :)
Brandon, Felicity, and I went up to the church on Friday night, and we spent a couple of hours decorating and getting things ready. Then, we went back up about an hour before her party to do all the last minute set up!
This girl thought it was so fun! :)
I served veggie straws, carrot sticks and ranch, and banana and peanut butter sandwiches.
I borrowed Grandmother's tea pot, and I painted the "A" that morning! :)
A sweet friend of mine also made these BEAUTIFUL gluten free/dairy free sugar cookies! Avaree kept telling me that they tasted like doughnuts! That's a huge compliment for a little girl that hasn't had a doughnut in over a year! :) Nicole did an incredible job decorating the 5s, teapots, and teacups! They were even more beautiful in person!
I had the back side table set up for presents and a candy necklace station, but we ended up doing the cereal necklaces at the main table anyway!
Princess Avaree liked that her place was at the head of the table! :)
Felicity's "character" was Minnie Mouse!!! We borrowed the outfit from Mrs. Holly, and it turned out to be SO cute on our little sister! :)

Even though we had this party four days after returning from Disney World (and Daddy was gone on staff retreat for two of those days), we pulled the party off, and I think it was pretty sweet and special for our girl! That was the goal anyway! :) I know she loved playing with all her sweet church friends! So thankful for our community here, and so thankful for family that drove all the way here for her party! We missed everyone that couldn't join us!
