November, Part IV: Thanksgiving and Christmas in Houston with the Barton Family!

On Wednesday of Thanksgiving week, we were able to drive to Houston and spend three whole days with the Barton tribe! We had almost three whole days, and we celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas. :) 

Our crafty Aunt Jamie figured out the perfect gift for Gigi and G-Pops who said no gifts but are remodeling their home! She even blindfolded Gigi and G-Pops, so that they could get their hand prints on the sign for their new home! Look for the picture of them opening in later in the post!

That evening, we went to everyone's favorite restaurant, Pappasitos, for dinner! I had the phone with the pictures, so all the babies wanted to sit in my lap! Yay, me!!

All the babies had breakfast together in the morning! We took turns cooking, and it was so fun to cook in D and J's big, beautiful kitchen! Such a treat!

They also have a beautiful porch and backyard. It was so wonderful to just relax with my hubby, and watch the kiddos play in front of us!

They even moved the TV outside to watch football! We love Blair!!!

Little sissy started melting down, so I held her close, and she was out in five minutes! ;)

Meanwhile, Blair was "trying" to take a nap outside with Gigi and G-Pops!

We had so much fun walking to the park in Aunt J and Uncle D's neighborhood! We played and played and played! So fun!

We had a wonderful few days together! It was such a gift to just get to play non-stop for multiple days! We all had a blast! Thanks to Uncle D and Aunt J for hosting!!!!

November, Part 3: A Morning at the Farm with Papa

  After Ave and I got the babies from my Mom's, we headed to my Dad's for a morning on the farm! It was C-O-L-D!

Of course, Brandt wanted to drive first!

First, we went to see the calves! We have face timed with these babies, but we have been waiting to see them in person since the first one was born in late August!

Then, we headed over to see the deer in Mr. Marty's exotic deer ranch! It was such a beautiful morning! There literally was not a cloud in the sky for as far as the eye could see!

It's hard to see, but there were several white tails grazing up ahead! These trails are just beautiful.

It started to warm up some, and Sister loved her turn driving the Ranger!

She is the craziest driver of all!! Look at that face!

Next, we went to check on Niecey's chickens, and we collected some eggs!!

Meanwhile, a few of the mama cows were eating, so we visited with them for a bit! You haven't lived until you witness three kids talking "moo language" to the cows! It was so funny!

Brandt was just eating up every minute of it!

Finally, Avaree drove us back, and she was such a crazy driver that I couldn't get us all in one picture or without being fuzzy! ha!!

We loved going down the trail to look at the lake. Dad has done a lot of work clearing out the brush, so it's just a magnificent view! That island on the right is only there when the water is down! Crazy.

This is a better view of the island! There have been times that we've been able to walk all the way to the island and other times when you can't even see it!

 We had a great morning with Dad! We played all morning, and then we drove to a little lunch spot by the dam (The Stump) that I hadn't been to since I was a young girl, so that was fun! Then we got back to Papa's and loaded up just in time for nap! We made it back just in time for rush hour in Arlington! :)
