We Love the Zoo!!!

After Avaree's 8 am basketball game, we surprised the kids with a trip to the zoo in Fort Worth! (Thanks to Gigi and G-Pops, we can go anytime with our passes, and it was a perfect day!)  We got there about ten minutes before the zoo opened, so we had to wait just a bit for the gates to open! Felicity is not super patient these dance, hence the picture! ;)

This girl was super thrilled though!!!

The small crowd that was there went straight in and headed for the monkeys/gorillas to the right, but we walked on and went straight for the baby giraffes and baby elephants! We were literally the ONLY ones there! It was so much fun to feel like we were at the zoo by ourselves! The giraffes were out enjoying the beautiful weather!

We had a lunch picnic, and then Brandt fell asleep on the way home from the zoo, so we dropped Daddy and the girls off for a movie date, and Brandt and I came home. He slept for a full two hours, and then we went back to get our Daddy and girls! Then, we ended our fun family day with a couple of hours outside in the beautiful sunshine! It was the best day! :) YAY for family time!  

We can't wait to go back to the zoo!
