Blair Alise Barton: Our 2nd Precious Niece is Here!

On Wednesday, May 7th, we loaded up the girls after the choir end-of-year party at church, and we headed to a hotel in Conroe around 8:30 pm. We got to the hotel around 12:15 am, and both girls work up and were wide awake upon arrival! So, it took a little bit to calm down. Avaree and Brandon went back to sleep around 1am, and I didn't get Felicity to sleep until around 1:30 am. I put her in the pack and play, and then I just happened to go look at my phone on the other side of the room that was plugged in. I saw that I had a text from Martha at 1:37 am (just a couple of minutes ago from the time I checked it), and she said that Jamie was in labor, and they were packing up and heading to the hospital. I tried to wake Brandon up and tell him, but he told me "It's night night time, Allison." So, I just waited for more news! :) There was no way I could sleep at that point: I was way too excited!  Around 2:45 (and several text updates later), I finally managed to wake sleeping Brandon, and we made the decision to pack up all of our stuff, wake the girls, and drive thirty-five minutes to the hospital, so that we could be there when baby Blair was born! We got to the hospital around 3:45 AM, and our girls woke up at that point and were TROOPERS ALL DAY! (I was so, so, so proud of them!) It was like a super fun slumber party at the hospital, and it was worth every second! We enjoyed being there with Gigi and G-Pops (and soon all of Aunt Jamie's family) when we got the text that Baby Blair was here! She was born via c-sectoin at 3:20 AM! We got to see her around 6ish--I think!! :) I LOVED taking pictures the next few days, and I narrowed down about 600 pictures to several that mostly involve my family! Aunt Jamie can share the rest if she chooses to! ;) 
Gigi got all three girls "Princess 1, Princess 2, and Princess 3" outfits! They wanted to put them on when we got to hospital early Thursday morning! :) So so cute! 

When it was our turn to go back to see Uncle Darrin, Aunt Jamie, and Baby Blair, B and I took Avaree back! We were soooo excited! :)

Aunt Alli got a turn!!!!! Between my baby hog husband and my baby hog daughter, I wasn't sure if I would get a turn, but I loved every second of it! 

She was so teeny tiny!!! My girls both came out close to eight pounds, so little Blair felt like air! :) (…and excuse my greasy hair and see the paragraph at the top on the whole too excited to sleep or take time to do my hair!)

I got to put Baby Blair in this sweet little hospital bassinet for the nurses, and I had to fight back tears! I missed all of this with Felicity, so I'm especially tender to these moments. I'm so thankful that D & J allowed us to be there! :)

I'm obsessed with baby feet, and Blair's were no exception! 

I made this little bunting for Aunt Jamie's hospital room, and it actually turned out how I wanted it! I'm not a crafty person, so I was so happy that I could do something for J! She has always gone above and beyond to celebrate my girls, and I hope I can repay that! :)

Avaree Grace was so in love with Blair. Every single time she got to hold her, she immediately got tears in her eyes. She has such a tender heart, and she loves her family fiercely. Not to mention, she has recently become a lover of babies. It's amazing how young the mommy dreams begin. 

When Aunt Jamie saw Avaree's tears, she had to come hold her. It was so precious!

…In other news, Felicity somehow procured an oreo, and she may or may not have loved it. 

Furthermore, it took a little creativity at times to entertain little people at the hospital a few days in a row! ;) 

Somebody loved being a baby hog! :)

We are beyond thrilled to welcome sweet Baby Blair to our family, and we are so very thankful to have another precious, beautiful niece! :)
