My Sweet Girls

This past weekend, B and I took the girls to Veteran's Park in Arlington for all of ten minutes, but I still got some great shots!!! :) I love these two so very much. They bring so much joy to us, and I am so thankful for their little lives!!!! 
Avaree is almost four, and Felicity is still four months. I will treasure these pictures forever.

 This little one has blossomed into such a precious little lovey. We love her. 

While Felicity was in the NICU and we spent four agonizing days waiting to hold her, I started dreaming of seeing my girls in matching dresses. :) My dreams have come true!!!! I love these little angels more than my heart could even express. Thank you, Lord, for such sweet little blessings.  May we be found worthy of such gifts...

The First Week of September!

September has always been my second favorite month of the year (second only to December), but since Avaree was born, I think it's a tie for first! She has been so very excited for September to get here, and she cannot WAIT for her birthday! :) We've been counting down to September for months, and now it is here! That came fast! :)
Here is just a little bit of what we have been up to lately! :)

 Mommy and Daddy were gone for 24 hours on staff retreat, and Gigi and G-Pops kept the girls! I pumped the whole time we were gone, and everybody did great!

 Gigi and Pops bought Felicity a new book! 

 ...and G-Pops read the story of Jonah from the Jesus Storybook Bible to Avaree before bed! :)

Later that week, our friend Kendall came over to play!

 Kendall calls Felicity "Fissy", and the girls gave her lots of kisses!

 We played with finger paints!!!!!!! The two big girls had a blast! :)

 Ave loves to wear her "smock"! :)

 Daddy has been very impatient about waiting for Felicity to start rice cereal! He loved feeding Avaree, and he has been looking forward to doing that with Felicity! I finally agreed to it one evening since my milk supply is lowest in the early evenings anyway. 

 It looks like I have a little more time to baby her though, as she was not a fan of her cereal! :)

 We always have cuddle time when we get home from school! They miss each other so much while Ave is at school. It is only five hours, two days a week, but you would think that they had been separated for weeks! :) I love how much my girls love each other! :)

 Felicity is really starting to enjoy her bouncer! She can actually press the buttons now, and she enjoys being in there for 10-15 minutes at a time! :)

Trip to the Lake(s)

A few weeks ago, before Avaree got really sick, we headed to East Texas for a couple of days. I was hosting a baby shower for a sweet friend, and we were able to stay one night at my Dad's house and one night at my Mom's house! They both live on the lake, but they live on different lakes! :) 
We started out at Sam Rayburn Lake where sissy had her first boat ride! :) The life jacket totally swallowed her, so when we were stopped, she enjoyed lounging in my Dad's new tritoon boat! The girls, Niecey and Papa, and I spent the whole morning on the lake. It was beautiful and glorious! :)

 We stopped at couple of islands to let Ave get out and explore! :)

 This is Rattlesnake Island, and Avaree can touch all the way to where you see the water turn a darker color! It is such a fun place to go! :)

 Felicity took a nap with Papa in the shade! :)

 Then, we went back to the house and picked up my Aunt Connie, and my cousin's Lauren's boys, Colton and Keller! We were so excited to see them, and it was the first time for Aunt Connie to meet Felicity! :) 

 She took a nice nap with Aunt Connie! :)

 Then, we had story time! :) I think Aunt Connie read at least ten books to the kids!

 Felicity enjoyed hanging out with Papa while Mommy and Daddy played on the jet ski! :)

 The next day, we went to Mom Mom's house on Toledo Bend Lake, but we stayed inside.

My Mom got this family heirloom re-strung for Avaree to use someday. Brandon loved showing her how to hold it. :)

 My beautiful Maw Maw and my tiniest. Can you believe how gorgeous she is? I can only hope that I have her genes.

 My only living grandparents with my babies. I wish they could know Granny and Paw Paw too. 

We had a super fast trip to Hemphill, but we made some memories while we were there! So thankful that our girls have three sets of grandparents that love them and want to invest in their lives! :)
