It's hard to believe that our little miracle baby is already two months old! :)
Sleeping: She is finally starting to sleep better! :) She sleeps at least one four hour stretch at night (and occasionally gives me five--hip hip hooray!!!), and she has expanded her place of night time rest from my chest to her car seat! I don't know why I didn't think of it before; I guess I was just so determined to help her sleep on her back in the cradle or crib that I just never considered it. She loves the car seat because she is snug, and it is the perfect little nest. I put the carseat inside the cradle (it has a lock that will not let it rock, so she is not going anywhere!) right next to my bed. She is still having some tummy issues (lots of gas), but even that seems to be getting better with each passing day.
Eating: Licy is still breastfeeding, and PRAISE THE LORD we have gotten rid of the nipple shield!!! YAY! I think she was taking in a lot of air because of the shield, and since we stopped using it (cold turkey one night when I couldn't find it in the bed (it is clear, you know!), my milk supply has increased again! YAY! She seems much more content since that has gone away! She clustered last week for a few days, but she seems back to normal now. She can even go 3 hours between feedings almost all day now. In the late evenings (her fussy time), she will sometimes want to eat every 2-2/12 hours, but we have still made extreme progress. We were having to supplement her with breast milk at least three times per day (or night), and that significantly decreased my frozen milk supply, so a couple of weeks ago, we started supplementing her with a little formula mixed in with breast milk, but we only did that when she just could not get satisfied late at night. We probably only have to do that once every few days now, so that is exciting too.
Clothes: Licy is still in newborn clothes, but they are starting to get tight on her (mostly in length), and I have the 0-3 month clothes ready to go! She has also moved up to the size one diapers! We ran out of newborn diapers when she was almost 7 weeks old, and we started her in ones. She probably could have worn newborns for at least another week, but the ones actually help catch her blowouts a little better! ;) Have I ever mentioned that I love dressing my girls?? Onesies are just easier for Licy right now, and most of her headbands are way too big, but you just wait! ;)
Health: We go for Licy's 2-month appointment on Thursday, so I will be able to update her stats then, but we did get her test results back this week. Her blood does show presence of remicade (infliximab), so she will not be able to get her vaccines for the first six months, and she will have a weakened immune system. Literally the day before we got the test results, Licy got a stuffy nose and has had a little congestion for almost a week. At first (like all babies) she despised the bulb and saline, but now she even smiles when I suction her nose out. I think she's figured out it helps to breathe. Of course, when it is hard to breathe, it is hard to nurse, so sometimes it is easier for her if I pump and give her my milk through a bottle. It is easier for her that way. Ave came down with a little 24-hour bug this past week too, so I'm sure that the germs just stayed in the family. Despite my best attempt to keep them away, they will come, and we cannot isolate ourselves from the world. On that note, would you please pray for the Lord to put His hedge of protection around both of our girls, but especially little Licy since she will have no protection from them.
Highlights: The last couple of weeks Licy has begun smiling at us. It will make your whole day. Yesterday, I worked half a day, and when I got to the girls I fed Licy, and then she went back to sleep. When I went to get her out of the car when we got home, I opened the door and looked down at her. The biggest, most precious smile spread across her little face. :) It was like she had just realized I was back. :) It made my day!!!! I'm sure you can't guess who she smiles at the most, right? She LOVES her sissy. Avaree just has to get near hear and say something, and then Felicity is looking for her face. :) I love it. I'm so glad that they will always have each other. Avaree has also asked to hold Felicity more. This was obviously before she got sick, but I just love their happy faces!!!
Also, both girls went to work with me last Thursday, and then Licy went with me on Friday for my very last day at Newman Smith High School. I will write more on that later, but Licy was a perfect angel, and expect for having to eat, she slept through my meeting and then slept in her stroller while I finished up grades and things around my room. :)
She still loves to smile at her Daddy! Both girls just go bananas when Daddy gets home in the evenings. Wait, I guess I should say all THREE girls go bananas when Daddy gets home in the evenings! :) We love having our Daddy home!
She loves to watch the fan from Mommy and Daddy's bed! (Just like her sissy did!)
She still loves to swing!!! (Just like her sissy did!)
She loves to sleep on her tummy (just like her sissy did), and I let her when it is daytime and I am right there! :)
....and she loves her window (just like someone else I know)! :) So, to answer the question that I get asked often, YES, they are alike in many ways, but they are also very different! :) Another post on that coming soon! Love my girls.

Happy two-month birthday, precious one! We love you oh so much, and every day with you and sissy gets better and better! We are praying for you with every breath we take, and we are so happy and thankful that you are here with us. Your lungs work perfectly, and we are so thankful for that! :)
